Aug. 5th, 2014 09:52 pmThe town is almost eerily quiet with everyone away on this mysterious cruise. The invite had come in the mail a few days ago, and Jed had taken one look at it and firmly informed her that she had school. She'd watched the ship depart from the docks, and at first she'd been a little bitter, but now Kat feels like the empty town is her oyster.
She's on her way to the precinct after a full day of classes, and feeling pretty intellectually drained. Right now, she could kill for a glazed donut and some shitty coffee, both of which SCPD have in abundance. She's in the middle of cramming for exams and all she wants to do is pass out in her dad's office while he makes her memorise the fucking Miranda rights or whatever quiz he has in store for her today. Half her favourites are off on this cruise, but she's sure she'll find something to amuse herself with. Beats going home alone to a microwaved meal and crap TV.
